Buckeyes

Another quick and easy recipe I made was for BUCKEYES.
They take a little time, but are easy and tasty.
Buckeyes
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 cups confectioners' sugar
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix together the peanut butter, butter, vanilla and confectioners' sugar. Roll dough into 1 in balls and place on a waxed paper lined cookie sheet. Chill in freezer until firm, 30 minutes or more.
Melt chocolate chips in a double boiler on the stove top, or in the microwave. Stir frequently until smooth.
Dip frozen peanut butter balls in chocolate using a toothpick placed in the center. Leave a small portion of the peanut butter showing at the top to make them look like buckeyes. Place back on the wax paper, and let set in refrigerator.
Store in refrigerator. Makes about 3 dozen

With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

Ummmmmm. I'm afraid that I ate way too many of these this holiday. Everybody around here makes them, its our (Ohio) state candy you know. : )

Your other goodies look great too!

BTW, beautiful music on your blog!

LOL

Yes, Marie, I did know that 'buckeyes' were popular in Ohio. One of our older neighbors loves them, and she is originally from Ohio.

I have been to Indiana, but never been to Ohio...maybe sometime!
Maybe sometime when it is warmer there! ;)
